Placement Procedure

The BCIPS Placement Cell is centrally aligned with GGSIPU Centralized Career Guidance & Placement Cell and is supervised by faculty coordinators along with the active participation of Student Placement coordinators. The Placement Cell maintains close contact with recruiters throughout the year and conducts numerous Managerial Skill Development workshops on Resume Writing, Group Discussions, Mock Interviews, Employability tests, Business Simulations and various Aptitude tests to better prepare our students for job interviews. Our team is fully committed towards attending the individual needs of our students and ensuring they achieve desired platforms for launching their professional careers.

Placement Process

The Placement Cell of BCIPS continuously works around the year to help its students get the best possible corporate exposure. The Placement Cell acts as an interface between the students and the industry. An impressive array of companies comes to BCIPS each year for interviewing and selecting students for Permanent placements, Summer Internships and Live Internships.

We encourage industry to actively consider our students for appropriate positions. The talent acquisition at BCIPS is done through the following process:

Identifying opportunities

BCIPS placement brochure detailing the programme structure and its attributes, along with student profiles (according to the specialization) and other details is delivered to organizations to give them an insight about the institute, its programmes and the students. The placement brochure is also available on the Institute’s Website.

The Placement Cell contacts the organizations to find out their campus recruitment plan for final and summer placement for the year. Alternately, the organizations can intimate the Placement Cell about the available opportunities through email or phone. The institute also explores placement opportunity through summer internship programme as well as other co-curricular activities.

Pre-Placement Talk

The organizations are required to conduct a Pre placement talk before starting with the selection process. Time and date for the pre placement talk can be decided upon a mutually convenient basis.

The Pre-Placement Talk/Company Presentation is an opportunity for the students and the organization to interact with each other on a common platform to clearly understand the job requirements, company expectations and the job profiles offered.

The organization is requested to give a pre-placement talk covering the following aspects:

  • Overview of the company and its operations.
  • Detailed Job Description.
  • Skill set required/looking for in a candidate.
  • Nature & period of training/probation, if any.
  • Compensation package offered.
  • Selection procedure to be adopted.
  • Employment Conditions (Bond etc.).

Final Recruitment

The date of campus visit/recruitment is finalized in consultation with the respective organization. The students who have a best fit based on the skill set requirements of the company, and those who are interested in applying to the organization are identified and their detailed resumes are forwarded to the companies for further processing.

Companies may also invite CVs of interested and shortlisted students on the basis of their profiles before coming on campus. The final interviews are held at BCIPS campus or at the company location as the case may be and offer letters are finally received by the placement cell.
